About Razan

My Style

Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see. Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. The question is whether or not we are in touch with it. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment.”

My approach is straightforward and engaged. I have a real sense of humor. Wisdom comes from reflection. Wisdom is also power. My unique and collaborative approach to therapy quiets unwanted voices of depression, anxiety, loneliness, anger, fear, resentment, compulsion, helplessness and self-doubt for those I work with. Paying close attention to influences of gender, age, race, sexual identity and culture, and listening carefully and openly to the unique circumstances of each person I enter into relationship with. I guide individuals, couples and families towards deeper feelings of clarity and contentment.

Being in a relationship with ourselves is hard enough. Being in a relationship with others becomes exponentially more challenging. I have developed a therapeutic model for couples that helps to extract the poison of resentment and reestablishes the respect and desire that you had for one another when you first met.

Unique Approach

I provide clients with real life tools and aid them in developing effective strategies to cope with life issues. I view therapy as a collaborative effort to understand problems and conflicts, identify realistic goals and take advantage of strengths and strategies that promote change. While the focus is often on current issues, understanding the influence of past experiences and relationships is an important part of the process. I motivate, encourage and support my clients to make choices that improve their lives, relationships and overall well being.
